Pierre Scerri spent 15 years building a 1/3 scale Ferrari 312PB. Not a
1/3 scale *model* Ferrari 312PB. This one works. He made all of the
parts himself. He made all of the molds from which he casted the parts
himself. He taught himself how to make glass so that he could make the
headlights. The engine. he explains, is like the Ferrari's 300cc flat
12 engine with 24 valves. Only, of course, it's 100cc. Asked if the
gearbox works, he says "Of course," and demonstrates shifting, pushing
the clutch with his finger. It sounds just like a Ferrari, only
higher-pitched, of course.

The odd thing is that he can't quite explain why he did it.
