[UA] Alex Abel's Godwalker Status

My associate and I were discussing Alex Abel, and got onto the topic
of his status as a godwalker. If, as is my understanding, he very
nearly ascended as the Algerian Hero, wouldn't he still be the
Godwalker or at least a high powered avatar? What sort of powers would
such an archetype grant at any rate? Probably something along the
lines of twiddling probability in order to get the maximum benefit
from a situation. I checked the Alex Abel writeup and there didn't
seem to be much mention of it.
