Dont know, I've always been partial to the theory that the "Algerian Hero" thing is just some crap somebody tried to use to try to massage Alex ego, as the book kind of implies. He was going for something else (True King?) (or this may be just because outside the USA Alger is an unknown and I like my archetypes universal)
