Do you mean the whole thing never happened?

I didn't get the dream thing you did. To me it seemed
like he committed the hit and run over a year ago.
Guilt got the better of him, driving him to not eat,
and not sleep. All of which spun him into insanity and
deranged imaginings where people were out to get him.
