[UA] Speaking of Daffy Duck...

Sorry that this is slightly off topic, but--

Exactly what kind of duck *is* Daffy Duck?  Now, I'm
hardly a duck expert, but I've seen several varieties
of duck, none of which were solid black with a white
stripe around the neck.  

Could it be that the Daffy version of duck was written
out of existence by our acceptance of the Disney ducks
as the archetype of what an anthropomorphic duck
should be?
