The ship has no Wounds just a Madness Meter and
Passions. Too many hard notches and the Passions die
and it becomes a flying chunk of metal. Too many
failed notches and the ship starts giving problems and
breaking down. The characters are there to nuture the
ship. Repairing the ship heals it's madness notches at
the same rate as clinical care.

As for skills, I'd give it skills that it doesn't
roll, but the players can roll (only one roll per
turn), thus characters need to sacrifice creation
points and experience to create the ship.

Skills could be: Cover from Small Arms Fire; Sharp
Turn; Stealthy Wheeze; Grinding and Smoking
Acceleration; Don't You Dare Decrompress!; Hold
Together, Baby; Drifting Scrap; Annoying Malfunctions;
and (everyone's favourite) Reversed the Power
Coupling.
