	Indeed Barbara was a dipsomancer, with a checkered past (don't
they all have one?). She had left her lesbian lover, named Lilly, years
ago for her boyfriend (who was trying to follow the path of the mystic
hermaphrodite, but, being a better candidate for The Fool, could not get
past the awkward "unconvincing transvestite" phase), and was forced to
kill her ex-lover, an epideromancer, in self-defense during a jealousy
fueled mystical assault. 
	Later Barbara BOHICAs while trying to control a demon and
accidentally gets her boyfriend James possessed with Lilly's demon.
	Lilly/James strangles Barbara and tries to think of a way to
torment James with the knowledge of who had taken his love from him. So
she puts Barbara to bed with a potted Lilly and has James sleep next to
her, knowing he will understand what happened when he awakens. 
	James, being an idiot, interprets the whole thing as an attack
from a lycanthrope (he had a strange feeling it was some sort of "cat
fight") and kills the cats to avoid further incidents.
