... are apparently up to something new, and they're trying it out in
Australia, where nobody ever goes because they think there's nothing but
crazy otherspaces down here.  Or at least, that's my best theory for a
customer I had at Directory Assistance:

Note for the unfamiliar: Club X is a chain of porn/sex toy/peep show/etc
shops.  Second note: I am a woman, and have a distinctly feminine voice.

Recording: Club X

Me: You requested Club X, at what location please?
Customer: Club X.
Me: At what location please?
C: Lygon Street.  [At this point I realise it's a child voice.  I'm assuming
prank/kid being stupid, whatever.]
Me: There is no listing for Club X at Lygon Street.  Do you have further
information or another name?

Pause.

Child, sounding perturbed: Mummy, that's not Daddy.

I said something, I forget what.  Something fairly standard.

Child: Mummyyyyyyy...

Voice rises to a wail, kid hangs up crying.  There is absolutely no
background noise of another person, though the line was good enough that I
could hear the child move, and breathe, against dead silence.
