It's quiet. Too quiet.

So I'll be the first to bring this up: Steve Irwin, gone to the wildlife 
preserve in the sky.

There are two ways to look at it. The first is that he's been pushing his 
luck for far too long and it finally caught up with him. The second -- which 
is my view -- is that he cheated death so long that luck didn't even come 
into it. The fact that he didn't die long before he did means he had an 
inside track with the animals or with risk, so to speak. So he could not 
have died by accident. Somebody MADE that stingray whack him.

My pet theory is that he was bucking for the Godwalker position of Scholar, 
with eventual plans to replace the current one and become the Hands-On 
Expert. Instead of being the laid-back, distant academic, you got up close 
and personal with your field of study. So to protect itself, the Clergy's 
scholar manipulated the odds, the stingray stinger hit Steve, and that was 
that. Or maybe the current Godwalker just called in an Entropomancer to rig 
it. Either one would work.

And while we're at it, has anybody else had trouble getting onto the Unknown 
Armies website lately? I dunno whether the college computers just don't like 
it or if the site itself is down.
