I think you're a bit hard on her. With that much mojo and that dedication
to symbology, I would let her climb up to 80, perhaps. After that there is
no more to be gained from following the official symbols, she has to start
doing things with a flair of her own, taking a symbol, style, whatever,
and making it work for her. After that, it's time for visionquests,
following strange clues, visions from the statosphere, finding herself in
odd places, hunting beings not accurately described as humans. Up in the
nineties, the godwalker wars really begin in ernest.

Or you know, whatever.

Or I could try to answer your question.

Symbology yet to be explored: how about some of the old-school symbols?
These are things I think should best not be carried around, but kept,
perhaps, in a place of power.

I thought: a trophy room

Either a true old-school room with animal trophies, large-caliber rifles,
harpoons, TV-screens constantly showing "Deer Hunter" and so on. Or, for a
different twist, how about a room with trophies of the old symbology, not
animals on the walls, but heads of human hunters and stuffed hunters,
rifle in hand, glass eyes gazing out, remington in hand, and silenced
small-caliber pistosl and garrottes on the walls.

Or both

Mattias

[UA] Hunter Symbology
Hey all. I and one of my players have run into a bit of a problem
regarding the Hunter archetype.

She is currently playing a Hunter who fell onto the path by accident after
she sacrificed her career with the FBI, what passed as a social life for
her, and a good chunk of her sanity in a four year obsessive hunt for a
vampiric serial killer. Needless to say, she finally ran him to down (one
of the greatest climaxes I have ever pulled off where even the player
admitted she didn't care if her character lived or died, it would have
been the perfect end... she lived, barely). However, that pretty much set
her on the road of the hunter. After a few more twists down the
inescapable spiral into the Underground (losing the only person she
considered to be a friend [who wasn't dead already] to the Room of Rusted
Things and getting a glimpse as to what it was as well as receiving a
letter from a Mr. Wu in London who had been watching her hunt and downward
career slide with some interest, she came to embrace the fact that she,
indeed, is The Hunter.

Either way, she is now a walking, talking stereotype. Mirrored aviator
sunglasses, a tattered trench coat, a small recorder for obsessively
recording most all of her conversations, a small fortune in surveillance
gear, several sets of handcuffs, a small arsenal (half of which she's
licensed to carry due to her new line of work) a new career as a licensed
bounty hunter, and, her pride and joy, a 1974 Plymoth Furry which is not
only a decomissioned police cruiser but the very one that John Paul
Knowles was shot to death in (painted mat black now... she's really trying
for the Man in Black mystique). She lives out of the car when not
splurging on hotel rooms and spends her free time stalking people "too
keep sharp" and when an alias is needed, she tends to use Diana or
Bridgette. (she's the scary type of sleeper if your wondering, and damn
it was great to see her degradation in game)

Now, I've ruled that she has enough symbolic mojo built up around her self
to take her skill up into the 60's. What I'm wondering is am I being to
hard on her as we are both having a damned hard time thinking of how many
more symbols she could surround her self with or how many other ways she
could shout out to the universe that she is The Huntress.

So, do you guys think she has enough symbolic mojo to just keep buying up
her skill or should she push her self even further (well, once her soul
gets higher of course).?

Also, can anyone come up with any other symbols that we might be
overlooking?
