And better yet, make it all into a tv show. It's
working for Dog: The Bounty Hunter.

XD While that idea intrigues me, something tells me it just won't work for the character, never mind that she's trying real hard to play up the "Man (er woman) in Black" mystique. She HATES Dog. To her, he is to the Hunter what TV Evangelists are to Christianity. She feels that he's sapping what dignity the position might have had strait out of it and destroying the "hunter in shadows, silently stalking it's prey thing" that she feels the hunter should be. In fact, I think the only time she'd be on TV hunting someone would be hunting him for sport... then the camera guys and the tapes destroyed ;)
I don't think there's any fear of her ever hitting the 90's anyway, so she wouldn't have to do anything supper well known. She started the game with a soul of 42 (abrasive) and has, since finding purpose and power in the hunt, slowly been buying her soul up. She's finally actually gotten it to 55 (if memory serves) now (intense now as well) and is straining for more. The player is salivating at the idea of becoming the tireless hunter, but the character her self has no real aspirations for power of any kind beyond becoming a more efficient hunter... and surviving to see the next dawn.
She fallows the path of the hunter because she hunts and, due to some complex father issues, has an over whelming need to be the best and finally gain the approval of distant and dead hero FBI father which is more of a deity in her mind then the real cold obsessed bad father that he was.
I would still love to see her as the "Leader of the Pack." It really intrigues but, like I said, I can't see it happening. Not only is she a bit of a loanwolf (and sees people as potential threats m ore then anything else), she has a bit of a rep in the OU. When asked her name from someone she "trusts" (I don't think she ever really trusts anyone) she simply gives her last name, Storie, but due to the stories surrounding the fates of her various partners and team mates (my old group really didn't have very good survival instincts ;) ), those who know her have taken to calling her Grim Storie... behind her back of course. She's currently on her third "Sparky"... I don't think she ever tries to remember their names.

Chris is right on the money here. Let the player build the symbolism that
means so much to her, this is a cerebal game as well and not to be taken to
linear. The beauty of UA is that not everything is set instone and it leaves
it up to you the GM and the Players to build around it.
But, that does sound like a real cool game you are running and the players
seem to be getting right into the genre... which makes for an awesome time
as well.
Heh, thanks! It's actually just launched... again. The player of Storie and I had a regular group back in college, but then graduation came, careers, etc, but we finally found another geek out there who was lonely for the "good ol' days" and started UA back up again. Currently, it's just Storie, the grizzled jaded psychotic Sleeper and her green new wide eyed and slowly breaking up on the inside partner "Sparky III"... so far, his luck seems better then her former partners. I think mostly due to her taking more of an interest in his "training" which, at one time, involved waking him up by shooting him with rubber bullets to prove an argument they had earlier that she was too paranoid and taking WAY too many precautions.
As symbolism goes, ya, I understand it's all free wheeling. I was just wondering if there were some ideas we hadn't come up with. She has really latched on to it tooth an nail... and even managed to hunt up a friendship with Antionette Hamelton (albeit a very awkward one... two scary people with no people skills to speak of trying out this "friend" thing... almost reminds me of that Zim episode XD) and hunted up a way to get her to teach her Authentic Thaumaturgy (since she needs to learn the ritual of charging). Not that she cares about magic (there was a time when she believed the only good magic worker was one with a fully ventilated skull) but has since come to realize that she might need to add a bit more punch to her arsenal as the crazies she's been hunting up just keep getting weirder. That and ever since she learned that the Sleepers had a way of making bodies go poof, well, she's been seriously hunting up that method. Now that she's getting into a ritual
magic mindset, she will only rent a Ford Taurus when she needs to rent a car (Storie was born april 30th). I can't wait for her soul to make it to 60 as I feel her and Antionette have a fairly decant relationship now (poor Antionette is still swooning over the thought that someone is actually interested in sharing time with her to assist in rituals) and that's enough excuse in my book to see how the player flies with Tilts... I've been dying to see those used more in game and not as just some weird junk the pcs find with some of their stolen personal items to give them the heebee-geebee's.
And thanks all for the replies! :D
