Shooting also seems odd.  I think of ritual killings, I think of
knives.  Maybe that's just me.

Perhaps this is an urbanomancer effect, rather than a thanatomancer?

What gets me is that both of these killings took place under circumstances of peace and charity: one in a church, and one when people pulled over to help after what they thought was a car accident. There's a definite difference, though, in that one shooter surrendered to the police. Perhaps he wasn't as committed as the other cabal member? And maybe that's why there's been no third: the rest of the cabal knows that the plan has gone awry. Thank the Clergy.

Do you think they were trying to strengthen an archetype? I'm not sure that the Gunman needs any more support...at least they didn't decide to go for all 333.
