No, that's right. It was only the Victorians that were
uptight about sex. Everyone before were relative
freewheelers - even if it was dodgy activities like
child-swapping.

The culture of US permissiveness changes from
generation to generation. Compare attitude to
sexuality during Clinton's presidency against Bush
Jnr's.
