Some say that women pilots who happen to be avatars of the Flying
Woman make a point of retracing the path of Amelia Earhart, in the
hopes of becoming one step closer to ascension.
Of course, they often have to contend with the small and eccentric
group of people calling themselves aviomancers -- those who perform
magick related to artificial flight. The current Godwalker of the
Flying Woman plans to take Amelia Earhart's last flight into the
Pacific, possibly even recreating Earhart's supposed ditching at
Gardner Island. Of course, if you're going to emulate Earhart and
ascend as the Flying Woman, you'll need to eventually "die"... and the
aviomancers aren't going to let an enemy of theirs become part of the
Invisible Clergy. Now the aviomancers are the Godwalker's unwanted
bodyguards, and they will do anything to stop her from boarding that
last flight...
