  At this point I should probably mention that I know Jubal in real life and, while it is not necessarily *acceptable*, it is certainly not uncommon for me  to call him a jackass.  I.e. Don't bother defending him, it will do you no good. ;)

  Re: Violation of human rights.  I would imagine that if one requests this service, one's rights have not been violated.  

  Re: UA applicability.  That's a tricky one.  In short, it's just fucking weird!  What more does one really need?  It could be part of a really stupid ascension attempt (as we really really haven't had a canonical ascension beyond WECHBY and the painter in that Magdalene d20 thing).  If we speculate that Hunter S. Thompson can posthumously ascend by firing himself out of a cannon into the heavens, why not have a coffin cam?  

  Or, Imagine a videomancer who's obsession is to watch it?  Significant charge whenever something really gruesome happens, like an ear falling off or something.  Or...oh, I don't know... how about a ritual when, performed above said grave, the corpse will turn and reveal hidden information in sign language...at least until it's hands rot off?  

  All of that seems pretty UA to me.

I heard about it on the radio coming into work this morning and thought it was a hoax (our local DJ is known for that) but later it kept playing on my mind so I looked it up and there it was.  Now I understand people are insane, and the internet is a harbor for the most tasteless and obnoxious content you can imagine.  Agreed.  And this site is tasteless.  But for me the interesting part was that people can request, and evidently do, this "service" and that was what really linked it to UA, for me anyway.  I may be missing the big picture of the game here, fair enough, but it seems that there is an underlying occult feel to it all.  Maybe not.
