As far as real life RPG characters, I worked out with  this local guy
(Sacramento, CA, USA) in Brazillian Jiujitsu class. He also boxed
competitively (amateur) and was a BRAIN SURGEON at UC Davis Medical Center
(or was it Sutter hospital?). He was in the local paper.
