Similar. I've only read one comic with Constantine in it (one of the
Sandman graphic novels), so I can't make an accurate comparison.
However, John Taylor's knack for finding things is, quite literally,
his gift. He refers to it as his third eye or his private eye (though
it's not really a physical eye), and when it's open he can see all
that is hidden around him. This includes how another's magic works,
the weaknesses in the weave that holds spells together. When he uses
his ability his mind shines like a beacon in the ether, and his
enemies have often used that to trace his location. As a cool
sidenote, he also has a neat trick where he "finds" the bullets in his
enemies guns, and calmly notifies them of their situation by letting
the bullets drop harmlessly from his hands.

I don't have much to offer here, but I did have a prototypical idea
the rest of you could flesh out. A cabal called "The Protectors of
the British Aisles," whose members work as grocery store employees.
Kind of like Mak Attax, but with a different agenda.
