[UA] Preferred campaign style?

I always do an almost ad-hoc, "players eyes must be opened" in a world they thought they knew kind of thing. As long as I am making a scenario for the long-term-- not a one-shot-- I always start them off with nothing all to great the first session. Second session I introduce them to something freaky but that might be able to be explained by science (for example). After that all bets are off. Magick, floating, talking manikin heads (had some fun with that one) and secret government take-overs are all game.

What I am saying is I do what the rule book explains the game as almost word-for-word. The PCs are not special. The PCs are just "some guy". They can choose to ignore, try to explain what they have seen away or jump right into it. Either way they are forced to deal with it but only after they have been introduced to it. I like to leave it up to the player to decide what they want their character to be.

Open-endedness is always something I strive for in my games.

Subject: [UA] Preferred campaign style?

The recent posts with Andreas got me thinking.

I think the only campaign style in UA I could be comfortable with is a
Sleeper themed campaign.

Perhaps it's too many years playing with DG, but I really like the
'reality police' idea, where the players main object is to hunt down
and kill insane sorcerers playing with That Which Must Not Be Named
(tm).

However, what do others here like? Avatars competing for Ascention?
Max Attak? A cabal of epideromancers and pornomancers trying to find
new ways to play with the skin flute?
