Seems this year has been a good one for mutant animals. In particular:

So what's it all point to? Many of these animals can probably be explained through some form of conjoined birth- the unification of different entities. The deer, meanwhile, has the attributes of both sexes. Is the Freak finally nearing the apex of its attempt at Ascension, thus throwing the archetype of the Mystic Hermaphrodite seriously out of whack?
