Definitely, I'm more of a lurker on the list so it's nice to read the 
train of thoughts and it is a much easier way to open discussion between 
list members.

It's the difference between reading the article and saying "yeah, that's 
pretty cool" and actually discussing the article, or parts of it, on-list.
