[UA] A Silly Update

This is a bit of a silly update, but the "gullyhooter"
entry in Hush Hush is now out of date.

Spoilers and such.

Yeah, well, I could have left more space, but you
could have had more discipline and not continued to
read, couldn't you? And they're very minor spoilers
anyway.

Anyway, one of the GMCs mentioned is an academic
folklorist persuing tenure at UCLA. Sadly, the word
on the street is that UCLA's folklore department has
more or less folded and been eaten by other
disciplines (anthropology and American Studies are the
usual culprits).

If I may suggest a replacement, you could change the
UCLA scholar to a graduate student in the Folk Studies
Department at Western Kentucky University. Rather
than writing a dissertation, they'd be writing a
thesis, but the song more or less remains the same.

To some degree, having a grad student is more
realistic as well in that academic folklorists have a
bit of a chip on their shoulder about what folklore
is--i.e. Folklorists consider the topic to be a lot
broader than urban legends, etc., so that kind of work
is largely frowned on.

Anyway, that concludes a silly and fairly irrelevant
update.

Jonathan, honest-to-God (and unemployed) folklorist
