Thanks for all your comments. I hadn´t though about unnatural effects
but obviously there are going to come into when you earn or use a
major charge.

Today I have a new idea. What do you think?

The father has all of his three children deathly ill. It is a strange
illness and it is for sure they are going to die, and soon. His
servant, a Haitian, knows somebody who can help him. Our
thanatomancer. The father is not sure but has nothing to lose. She
decides to help the man because she wants to try something new. She
casts a proxy ritual with the father and both, the father and the
thanatomancer, ritualistically kill the children. Through the proxy
she gains access to the relation father-children and can get a major
charge for the ritual. She uses the power to catch and bind the demons
of the just-killed children to their bodies. Until now all is going
ok. But here comes the twist. The children, after being killed by his
own father and resurrected in a strange body, its own but death body,
are absolutely mad. And the father, in the center of a
proxy-thantomancer ritual, and after killing his own children, is
going nuts by the moments. The thanatomancer things all is finished
and can go with the power she still holds but the father, in a last
moment of madness and own-revenge uses the power they share to kill
the surprised thanatomancer. In that moment the father fall
unconscious and the children escape.

I know I am violating some rules here but I think the idea is enough
for justifying the beginning of the COC story.
