That's as good an explanation as any.  I'd lean towards Executioner
over Thanatomancer, since while his killings are ritualistic, they
don't strike me as ritualistic enough.  YMMV of course, and as I think
of it I should reread the Thanatomancer description.

Agreed.  Just killing people doesn't make one a sociopath.   Although
it helps, of course ;)

Dexter does have a moral code, albeit one colored by his obsession
with killing people.
