I'd be intrigued to know exactly what transpired as well.

This area of the country is fraught with all kinds of weirdness. Many towns
around here are still very insular and have little outside contact. Only the
weird things in the major cities get noticed... but no one knows what
happens west of the Sioux river.

It's an occultist's gold mine.
