I´ll try to explain better.

We all chose a setting, rules and characters, the same for all of us
and then we develop our own short story. Same PC, place, etc.

Now the discussion is about an idyllic valley in the Alps with an old
castle converted  in a hotel, very old Roman ruins, the village of
course and a chemical lab. I´ve put a couple of examples for my group:

Imagine the PC are "professionals" free-lance like in the film
"Ronin". They go to the hotel for meeting an unknown contact. OK, now
the two stories. In one of them there is an murderers convention and
the PCs are going to hunt somebody or escape, whatever you want. Other
story: a Resident Evil revival, the chemical lab explodes and all the
villagers are converted in zombies. Flight the village or try to get
the antidote or ...

These two stories may be played one after other in any order. We will
"reset" the PCs, the setting, etc.
