Necrolepsy.

Its getting more and more common.  There's just no more room in the
afterlife.  Its like narcolepsy in that people just randomly keel over.  But
it only happens once a person has died.  As soon as there's room in the
afterlife they'll fall over dead again.  Then as soon as too many people are
killed at once they're shunted back into their bodies.  But when a large
ammount of people are killed it creates ripples like a stone thrown into a
pond and some of the souls get to settle back in.  If there's a huge ammount
of deaths then really old souls get thrown out.  Most of the time its just
regular joes.

There are some really bad cases where the soul seems to be naturally bouyant
and gets thrown out whenever there's a window.  I know one guy who dies
every 4 days regular.
