[UA] Comics

I'm a big fan of most of the comics people have mentioned, but I'm not sure how UA'y most of them actually are. For instance, I love Fell to death, and yes, it's got a very gritty atmosphere but beyond that . . . not really much UA there in my opin'. 
 
On that note, I didn't see one of my favorite series mentioned -- Fables, which I can shoehorn into the UA world by noting that as the characters have storybook origins, there are some very strong avatars in there -- Bigby the Wolf as Hunter, Jack of Fables as Trickster, Prince Charming as Lover, and so on. 
 
It may be a stretch, but it's an incredibly good series, so use it as an excuse to pick them up :).
