Pardon if it's already been mentioned, but Ellis' work for Avatar has often provided me with the desire to run things with UA again, even if I just use the core system without trying to tie them into the large UA campaign world. "Strange Kiss" and "Stranger Kisses" strike me as being ultra-cool in a UA kind of way. Special forces soldiers, magic use, two pistol action, supermodel hitmen, lizard explosions, LA sex industry, and implications of the formation of the U.S. being a giant experiment by the British Empire. And that's just in part. 

The main character from those mini-series, Gravel (?), went on to appear in other minis like "The Body Orchard" and is now in his own monthly. 

I also really liked "Black Gas." It's a zombie tale, but one that's insane enough to stand apart from the rest. 

"The Exterminators" struck me as being a great UA campaign.
