This reminds me of the documentary The Corporation (go
see it if you haven't). Anyway this documentary shows
American War of Independence being one of not throwing
off the yoke of imperial taxation but of throwing off
exploiting British corporate monopolies. The founding
fathers specifically made bylaws strictly prohibiting
the activities of business (specifically bankers) by
using the legal system of incorporation, a document
the government could dissolve without notice, ending
that incorporated businesses activities.
During the second World War when the US entered the
war after raking in bg money from arms production,
many corporate lobbyists twisted government's arm into
dropping some stricter laws and implementing
concessions, freeing businesses, allowing them to run
amok like sugar-crusted children without supervision!
Another interesting feature of the time period of the
the New Deal is the dissolution of America's Union
culture. Before WWII Unions were a seriously big
feature on the American business landscape, now
they're known as communist legacies or Mafia fronts.
Perhaps the victim of the New Deal was the unions, or
rather the first archetypal union, the Freemasons. FDR
destroyed the Chains of Urizen binding the US to
Freemasonry and its ancient Egyption Hermetic roots.
Perhaps FDR created Post Modern Magic.
Cheers,
Chris.
